YOUTH SERVICES
Personalized in person or virtual speech therapy for children and teens
At Cincy Speech, we support children and teens navigating communication challenges with care that is personalized, relationship-driven, and grounded in real-life success. We believe communication is foundational—not just for learning, but for confidence, connection, and self-expression at every stage of development.
Our Approach
We take a whole-person approach to youth therapy, recognizing that communication is shaped by emotional, social, sensory, and environmental factors. Every child or teen begins with a comprehensive evaluation that looks beyond isolated skills to understand strengths, challenges, and the contexts in which communication matters most—at home, at school, and in the community.
Therapy is individualized, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate. For younger children, sessions may be play-based and child-led to build trust and engagement. For older children and teens, therapy becomes more functional and goal-oriented, supporting academic success, peer relationships, and self-advocacy.
What We Treat
Articulation Therapy:
We help individuals correctly produce specific speech sounds by improving the movement, strength, and coordination of the lips, tongue, and jaw. A lot of times, children just need to be taught how to reposition their articulators to make the best sounds!
Language Therapy:
We help with improving a child’s ability to understand and use language. This includes key components of sentence structures, including grammar, vocabulary, semantic relationships and following directions and asking questions. Language therapy is especially important for children who may be having a hard time with following along in the classroom and participating in key discussions.
Social Skills:
Children, adolescents, and adults with ASD, ADHD, or social anxiety often have difficulty with social interactions. In Pragmatic therapy we teach our clients to understand the parts of language that we often unspoken. This includes, non verbal communication, gestures, problem solving, figurative language, and sarcasm.
Stuttering Therapy:
Helps individuals increase speech fluency, decrease tension, manage stuttering moments, and reduce anxiety around communicating. It involves personalized techniques, including breathing control, slow-rate speaking, easy onsets, and cognitive approaches to build confidence and foster self-acceptance.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC):
Training in low- and high-tech devices for children who cannot rely on verbal speech. We also combine simple sign language and pictures for the most comprehensive option for communication.
